We all arrived at Larnaca Airport and spent a day with our host families in Nicosia but our tour officially began on the 22nd of August.
While we were on our way to Kalopanayiotis we stopped at Kykkos village and we visited the Monastery. In the evening we arrived at Kalopanayiotis, a beautiful village in the Troodos range. There we visited the Agios Ioannis Lampadistis Monastery, the Byzantine Museum and we also saw the sulphur springs can be found at the banks of river Setrachos next to the Venetian bridge. On the following day we drove to Paphos were we were hosted in the hotel of a member of the 41Club. During the 3 days that we spent in Paphos we had the chance to see this city both by day and also by night. We spent a couple of days relaxing and sunbathing on beautiful beaches but we also visited the famous archaeological excavations of mosaics. We had the possibility to have dinner on the beach, were we enjoyed the sunset, but obviously we also went to a typical restaurant to eat Souvlaki. For our last evening in Paphos we went to a beach party, in Sandy-beach, were we had a lot of fun.
On the 26th of August we arrived in Limassol. There we were staying at the Pefkos City Hotel, owned by a member of the 41 Club. After spending some hours at the pool we were picked up and brought to the city center were we had dinner and we met the sons and the daughters of some members of the club. In Limassol, besides going to the beach and sunbathing there, we also visited Lagna village by night, the old part of Limassol and the archaeological site of Kourion from which one can enjoy a beautiful and unique view of the sea and the mountains.
On the 29th of August we went back to our host families in Nicosia, which was our last stop, indeed we spent the last 4 days of our tour there. We spent the following morning on a pirate ship for tourists while in the afternoon we went to one of the best beaches of Cyprus.
We also had the chance to introduce ourselves and have dinner with the 41 Club of Nicosia because of the AGM that tool place that day. On the 1st of September we went to a really small but nice village that was 45 minutes by car from Nicosia. We had a really good time, indeed we met another member of the club that brought us to his orchard to eat oranges and figs, later, in the evening, to get away from the heat we spent the rest of the day at the pool. For our last day in Cyprus we went from Nicosia to Limassol for another beach party at the famous Guaba beach bar that hosted the famous German dj Paul van Dyk… we all had a lot of fun there. On the day after we left Cyprus.
I would like to thank every single person that I met during this tour for his/her hospitality and kindness. I spent 10 unforgettable days that I will carry forever in my heart and I really hope to go back there soon. Thank you so much!
